What is Cursillo?

Cursillo is a Catholic-based movement that originated in Spain in the late 1940s and has since spread across the globe, touching the lives of people from diverse religious backgrounds. Ultreya is a Spanish word that means "onward" or "forward." In the context of Cursillo, Ultreya refers to the regular gatherings of Cursillistas (participants of Cursillo) where they come together to support, encourage, and strengthen one another in their faith journeys. These meetings are filled with joy, friendship, and the sharing of personal testimonies that inspire others to embark on their own spiritual journeys.
