Welcome to the American Heritage Girls program at St Mark’s United Methodist Church. We are a vibrant community within the Community and Society, specifically in the category of Faith and Beliefs. American Heritage Girls (AHG) is a Christ-centered organization dedicated to developing character and leadership skills in young girls.

Our Mission

At St Mark’s United Methodist Church, we are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for girls to grow spiritually, mentally, and physically. Our goal is to develop strong, capable, and compassionate leaders who positively impact the world around them.

Program Overview

The American Heritage Girls program offers girls aged 5 to 18 the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities, earning badges and awards along the way. From outdoor adventures to community service projects, girls engage in exciting and meaningful experiences that promote personal growth and character formation.

Building Character

Character development is at the core of the American Heritage Girls program. Through participation in age-appropriate activities, girls learn valuable life skills such as leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication. Our comprehensive program fosters self-confidence and empowers girls to become influential, compassionate, and responsible members of society.

Community Involvement

St Mark’s United Methodist Church believes in the importance of community involvement and giving back. American Heritage Girls actively engages in various service projects that benefit local organizations and individuals in need. By participating in these activities, girls learn the value of serving others and develop a heart for making a positive impact in their communities.

Religious Emphasis

As a faith-based organization, American Heritage Girls places a strong emphasis on spiritual growth and Christian values. Our program incorporates regular devotionals, prayer, and biblical teachings to nurture the faith of our participants. Through these activities, girls deepen their relationship with God and discover the joy of living out their beliefs in practical ways.
