Jesus emphasizes the need for sincerity in our spiritual practices, warning against performing religious acts for self-glorification. Instead, He encourages us to store up treasures in heaven, where their value is eternal.

The True Meaning of Fasting

Fasting, as mentioned in Matthew 6:16-18, goes beyond abstaining from food. It encompasses a deeper sense of self-discipline, humility, and a desire to draw closer to God. Jesus teaches us to fast in secret, without seeking public recognition, for it is our internal transformation that matters most to Him.
